About Badi
Badi is the dried version of white lentil batter and is usually made up of white lentil (with peel its called black gram/Urad/Udad) and stored away for years. It comes in handy as a quick side dish when you have to put a meal together in a jiffy. Please have a look at below pictures with badis on a plate, dried under sun. These are small in size.
Ingredients
- Few Badis
- 3 teaspoonful Oil for frying the badis
- Small onion chopped
- 1 green chilli chopped
- A couple of crushed garlic
- Salt
How To
- Heat oil in a pan and shallow fry the badis and keep aside.
- Mix Onion, Garlic, Chilli and salt to it and crush it in a Grinder
- Serve it with rice. Add salt if required.
- The crunch of the badi with the smell of garlic and onion is therapeutic.
